Not all butt-welded flanges need internal and external double-sided welding, there is no special requirement, generally only external welding, flat welding is better welding, because the pipe and flange are good for vertical, pipe will not oblique.
Welding flange only needs one-sided welding without the need to weld pipes and flange joints of the internal, butt welding flange welding installation needs flange double-sided welding.
Butt welded flange and flat welded flange are the two most commonly used flanges. Butt welded flange is necked, while flat welded flange is not.
