Features of the flat surface flange and concave surface flange
Flat flange
Advantages: simple structure and convenient processing.
Disadvantages: the contact area is large, the required pre-tightening pressure is large, and the bolt bearing is large, so the flange and other parts are required to be high and heavy, the gasket is easy to be extruded, and the sealing performance is poor. It can be used for P ≤ 2.5Mpa and can't be used in toxic, flammable, explosive media.
Concave surface flange
Advantages: easy to center, can prevent gasket extrusion, less scouring and corrosion of the medium. Suitable for high-pressure applications.
Disadvantages: It is not convenient to replace the gasket.
